The delegation of the Institute of History participated in the regular international summer school of young scholars-historians of the CIS countries in Saint-Petersburg

On June 4-10, 2017, the regular international summer school of young scholars of the CIS countries entitled "Revolution of 1917. New Visions and New Approaches", sponsored by the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the State University of Saint-Petersburg, the Russian Scientific Fund, and the Humanitarian Fund for Intercultural Cooperation of CIS countries was held in Saint-Petersburg.

Around 85 young scholars and experienced teachers, representatives of the Institutes of History from CIS, Baltic and European countries participated at the school sessions. Academician Alexander Tchoubarian, Scientific Head of the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Victor Ishtchenko, candidate of historical sciences, Head of the international cooperation Department, and professor Mikhail Lipkin, DSc, Director of the Institute, gave an opening speech. During the school sessions Karen Khatchatryan, DSc, Deputy director of the Institute of History of NAS RA, Vahan Melikyan, DSc, Head research officer of Department of Global History of the Institute of History of NAS RA gave joint lectures on "Armenian Question in the context of the 1917 Revolutions". Programs for further scientific cooperation with different institutions and scientists (Russia, Germany, Lithuania France, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan) were discussed.
