On December 13, 2022, the international conference entitled “The 100th anniversary of the formation of the USSR; 1922-2022” was held in the meeting hall of the NAS RA Presidency.

In addition to the institute’s researchers, the conference was attended by representatives from the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the North Caucasus Federal University of the Russian Federation (Stavropol), the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the representative office of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Russian-Armenian University, ASPU, the National Archives of Armenia, NAS RA Institute of Art, Armenian Institute of Tourism, “K. Balyan’s Architectural and Artistic Workshop” LLC, NAS RA Institute of Geology, Yerevan Branch of the Moscow State University,  NAS RA Institute of Oriental Studies and YSU.

At the beginning of the conference, the Director of the NAS RA Institute of History, Academician of the NAS RA, Dr. of Sci. in History, Professor Ashot Melkonyan and Academician-Secretary of the NAS RA Department of Armenology and Social Sciences Yuri Suvaryan made a welcoming and opening speech.
