Republican scientific conference entitled "Problems of Syrian Armenians. History and Modernity" held on June 26 in the presidential conference hall of the NAS RA. The conference was divided into two sections: historical and modern problems.
Prominent doctors, candidates and researchers gave reports during the conference.
Qnarik Avagyan, candidate of historical sciences, research officer from the Institute of History, Department of "Armenian Colonies and Diaspora" made a presentation on "The crisis of Armenian community in Syria as a cause for reevaluation of the pan-diaspora priorities". Ani Fishenkjian, research officer from the same Department of the Institute of History, presented a report on "War in Syria. Humanitarian, benevolent and other organizations' support to Syrian Armenians".
The conference was concluded with the discussion and assessment of the results.
