On September 29-30, at the “President” Hotel in Moscow, the General Assembly of the World Committee of Historical Sciences held its work, where the Union of Armenian Historians was unanimously elected as an official member of the Committee.

It should be noted that Alexander Ohan Chubaryan, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has an essential contribution to this significant success for Armenian historians. Together with Armenia, national unions of Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombian historians became members of the Committee. It is noteworthy, only Russia and Armenia from former USSR republics are included in this authoritative organization.
