The conference was devoted to the relevant key issues and problems of the Assyrian studies where about 50 scholars and intellectuals participated in from Australia, Germany, Sweden, Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.

 

Senior scientific worker of the Institute of History of the RA National Academy of Sciences, genocide expert, candidate for historical sciences Anahit Khosroeva was among the invitee, too. Her report was devoted to both the Assyrian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire implemented a century ago and to the ethnic cleansing of the Assyrians in the Middle East, particularly in Iraq and Syria happening at real time.

After the three-day conference, some participants, including Anahit Khosroeva, were awarded with letters of appreciation.
