On October 19, 2018 the international conference dedicated to the 175th anniversary of "Basmavep", Armenological, philological and literary magazine started at the hall of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences with the support of the National Academy of Sciences of RA, RA Ministry of Diaspora, and Mkhitarian Congregation. The participants of conference were welcomed by Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, RA acting Minister of Diaspora.

Supreme Patriarch Archbishop Yeznik Petrosyan conveyed the blessing message of His Holiness Garegin II Catholicos of All Armenians. Jirair Danielyan, Director of the Center for Educational and Armenological Studies at the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia conveyed the blessing message of Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia.

More than 30 presentations were presented during the conference.

  

Researchers Armen Karapetyan, Ph.D ("Basmavep"- Armenian Ancient Magazine») and Elizabeth Tajiryan ("Hovhannes Tovmacanyan in Paris, 1769") from the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia delivered the above mentioned presentations.
