On August 19th, 2019 the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Academician Radik Martirosyan and Vice-President, Academician Yuri Shukuryan received Dr. Eduard Charchyan - the correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Aorta Department of the Moscow Pyotrovsky Surgical Center, a well-known surgeon who was born in Javakhk.

Director of the Institute of History of NAS RA, academician Ashot Melkonyan was present at the meeting, also where the issues of cooperation were discussed.
