On October 23, 2018, the three day international conference on "Yerevan- 2800" launched at the Hall of the Yerevan History Museum. The conference was organized on the initiative of the Institute of History, NAS of RA, Yerevan History Museum and Yerevan State University.
The conference started with welcoming opening speech of Armine Sargsyan, the director of the Yerevan History Museum.
The participants of the conference were welcomed by Prof. Ashot Melkonyan, the director of the Institute of History, Armenian National Academy of Sciences, Mr. Aram Sukiasyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Edik Minasyan, the Dean of Faculty of History of YSU, and others. All the speakers highlighted the initiative of the conference.
The conference presentations from the Institute of History of NAS RA were delivered by Prof. Ashot Melkonyan ("The Demographic Situation in Yerevan during the First Quarter of the 19th Century"), Hasmik Amirjanyan, Ph.D ("The Place and Role of Yerevan in the Political Concept of Hovsep Archbishop Arghutyan"), Hamo Sukiasyan, Ph.D («From the History of Yerevan's "Hermes" Private Publishing Foundation»).
