INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE 200TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF FATHER GHEVOND ALISHAN

The Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia organizes an international conference titled “Foreign Sources on Armenian Communities” dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great Armenologist, member of the Mkhitarian Congregation - Ghevond Alishan. The conferene is scheduled to take place on the 15th of September, 2020.

Those wishing to take part in the conference should submit  abstracts of their papers up to 1 page to the Department of History of Armenian Comunities and Diaspora of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, including the topic of the paper, name of the participant and the academic degree, as well as the institution that the speaker represents (Independent researchers may also participate). The abstracts should be submitted not later than the 30th of June of the current year.

The participants, whose papers are chosen by the Organizing Committee will be informed within 10 days after receipt of their papers.

Conference languages: Armenian, English, Russian.

Limit of the presentation  –– 15 minutes.

Conference participants will be issued appropriate certificates.

The papers presented at the conference will be published in an edited volume titled “Foreign Sources on Armenian Communities”.

The cost of transportation,  accommodation and meals are borne by the conference participants or the institution they represent.
