On May 15-16, 2019, the international conference titled " Hovhannes Tumanyan's spiritual heritage and modernity ", initiated by the Northern University of Armenia was held in Yerevan dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great Armenian poet.
The Genocide of the Christian Populations in the Ottoman Empire and its Aftermath (1908-1923).
On May 10-12, 2019 an international conference was held at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece titled "The Genocide of the Christian Populations in the Ottoman Empire and its Aftermath (1908-1923)". Several dozens of young and distinguished researchers and genocide scholars from Greece, Armenia, Sweden, United States and other countries took part in the conference.
On April 23th, 2019 at the Institute of History, NAS of RA a meeting was held with Giorgi Tcheishvili - the Director of the Institute of History and Ethnology, Tbilisi State University, and Lavrenti Janiashvili - the chair of Scientific Council.
On April 9th, 2019 the presentation of the multivolume publication on the Armenian Genocide took place in AUA.
On March 15th, 2019 a scientific seminar on the theme of "Moscow Treaty of March 16th, 1921 and Armenia” was held at the Conference Hall of the Institute of History, Armenian National Academy of Sciences.
At the invitation of Gori State University of Georgia on February 21-22, Harutyun Khudanyan, an employee of the RA NAS Institute of History, as the only foreign participant attended the annual conference dedicated to David the Builder.
The programme, implemented for nine years in a row, has involved more than 250 prominent figures from the history and culture fields; they have regularly visited military units, delivered more than 1000 lectures.
On January 14th, 2019 the presentation of Ani Fishenkchyan’s book took place in “Pyunik” Hall of “Azdak” titled “The History of the Armenian Community of Syria, 1946-1970”. The author A. Fishenkchyan, Ph.D is a researcher of the Institute of History, NAS of RA.
Prof. Ashot Melkonyan, Director of the Institute of History, Armenian National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, delivered lectures on the issues of the history of the Armenian statehood for the audience of the Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia on January 9-18, 2019.
Anniversary events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Institute of History, NAS of RA took place on December 26-27, 2018.
On December 26, the 39th Scientific Session of the Young Researchers' Council kicked off on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of History. Presentations were made by the staff of the Institute of History of NAS RA: Hamo Sukiasyan, Gor Yeranyan, Mariam Grigoryan, Vahe Sargsyan, Harutyun Khudanyan, Liana Nazaryan, Gayane Ghazaryan, and Narine Harutyunyan.
The events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Institute of History, NAS of RA will take place on December 26-27, 2018.
On December 21, 2018 roundtable-discussion on the subject of “Soviet Statehood: History and Modernity» was held in Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Kh. Abovyan. Dr. R. Mirzakhanyan, the rector of the hosting institute welcomed all the participants of the conference and had an introductory speech. During the conference the presentations were made by Dr. A. Lubkov, the rector of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, Academic.
